This fine-thread design allows for precise adjustment of pushrod length, which is critical for proper lifter preload and valve timing.

Push Rod Adjustment Tip:
When installing, Cyco Recommends:
Turn the pushrod until zero lash (no play)
Then extend 3½ to 4 full turns to set preload on hydraulic lifters
Each full turn of the adjuster (at 20 TPI) changes the pushrod length by .050" per turn, so 4 turns = .200" preload, which is ideal for most hydraulic lifters.
