Credit Card Authorizations & Processing
At Cyco, we’re committed to providing a secure, seamless shopping experience while ensuring your orders ship quickly and accurately.
Why We Authorize Your Card at Checkout
When you place an order, your credit or debit card may show a pending authorization or a small hold (often $1). This is a standard industry practice used to:
- Confirm the card is valid
- Ensure sufficient funds are available
- Help prevent fraudulent transactions
This temporary authorization does not mean you’ve been charged — it simply reserves the funds until the order is confirmed and ready to ship.
When We Actually Capture Payment
We only capture funds (charge your card) when your order has been:
- Shipped
- Invoiced
This policy ensures you're only billed once your products are on the way to you.
What to Expect on Your Bank Statement
- You may see a pending charge or a $1 temporary hold when you place an order.
- This authorization will automatically drop off within 2–5 business days, depending on your bank’s policies.
- If you used a debit card, the hold may affect your available balance during that time.
Why This Matters
By verifying your payment method upfront, we can:
- Prevent fraudulent or declined payments
- Process and ship your order without delays
- Keep your checkout experience smooth and secure
If you have any questions about a pending charge or need help with your order, our support team is always happy to assist.
