Why You May See a Pending Charge at Checkout

When you place an order, your credit or debit card may show a pending authorization or a small temporary hold — often $1. This is standard industry practice, and it does not mean you've been charged.

The authorization is there to:

Confirm the Card Is Valid We verify your payment method is active and in good standing before processing your order.
Ensure Funds Are Available The hold confirms that sufficient funds are available to cover your order when it's ready to ship.
Prevent Fraudulent Transactions Authorization is a key step in protecting both you and us from fraudulent or invalid payment attempts.
Keep Orders Moving Verifying payment upfront means we can process and ship your order without delays or interruptions.
Not a charge — just a hold. The temporary authorization simply reserves the funds. Your card is not actually charged until your order has been shipped and invoiced.

When Your Card Is Actually Charged

We only capture payment — meaning we only charge your card — once your order has been shipped and invoiced. Here's how the process flows from order to charge:

1
Order Placed A temporary authorization or $1 hold may appear on your statement. No charge has been made yet.
2
Order Confirmed & Processed Our team verifies and prepares your order for shipment. The authorization hold remains in place.
3
Order Shipped & Invoiced Once your order leaves our facility and is invoiced, we capture the payment. This is when your card is actually charged.
4
Authorization Hold Released Any temporary holds that are no longer needed drop off automatically. This typically takes 2–5 business days depending on your bank.

What You Might See on Your Bank Statement

A pending authorization or $1 temporary hold may appear immediately after placing your order. This is not a charge.
The authorization will automatically drop off within 2–5 business days depending on your bank's processing policies.
If you used a debit card, the hold may temporarily reduce your available balance during that window. The funds are not withdrawn — just reserved.
Your actual charge will appear once your order has shipped and been invoiced — not before.
Debit card users: Because debit cards pull directly from your available balance, the temporary hold may affect what you can spend during that 2–5 day window. If this is a concern, using a credit card avoids the immediate impact on your available funds.
